Zimbabwean international defensive midfielder Marvelous Nakamba, who plays for Luton Town, has returned to training after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a knee injury last season.
Nakamba has been out of action since December of last year, when he featured for Luton in a 2-1 home defeat to Manchester City at Kenilworth Road.
His return to full training raises hopes of his participation in international games when the Warriors compete in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, which commence in September.
Nakamba had started light training a few weeks before the end of last season.
Marvelous Nakamba was excluded from the squad named for Luton’s second pre-season match against Ukrainian Premier League side FC Rukh Lviv.
Next month, Luton will launch their bid for a swift return to the top-flight league, with Nakamba expected to play a key role in the campaign.
