A LOVE at first sight story has turned into a nightmare for a 15-year-old girl of Mazabuka district, Zambia after she was betrayed by a new man she thought she would love after he defiled and ass@ulted her on the very first day that the two met and made their relationship official.
Details of the incident are that on Sunday, the survivor had gone to attend the Simulya Moomba traditional ceremony in Monze with her younger sister which was graced by the Republican President, Hakainde Hichilema.
However, during the event, the suspect, who has only been identified as Henry of Kabobola compound in Mazabuka spotted the juvenile and proposed love to her, of which she accepted.
Taking advantage of her innocence, Henry eloped with the young girl to Mazabuka at night on the same day.
There, Henry reportedly began to ass@ult the juvenile for unknown reasons around 01:00 hours and later s3xually ab_sed her, after which, he dumped her in Kabobola compound near an SDA Church.
The girl was only picked by a ‘good Samaritan’ who discovered her and identified her on Monday morning.
The ‘good Samaritan’ then informed the parents who took the victim to Mazabuka General Hospital, where she is admitted.
The survivor’s father, aged 33 then reported the matter to the police on Tuesday morning.
Southern Province police commanding officer, Auxensio Daka said acting on the report, police issued the survivor with a medical form and started looking for the suspect who is yet to be arrested.
“The victim sustained painful private part, bruises on the left eye , swollen face, and general body pains and currently admitted to Mazabuka General Hospital,” said
