The highly publicised m_rder case of renowned rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and celebrated chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane is set to resume in court on Thursday.
The case was previously adjourned two months ago after the five accused individuals were denied bail.
The tragic incident occurred in February 2023, when Forbes and Motsoane were fatally sh0t outside a popular restaurant in Durban’s Florida Road. Investigations revealed that Forbes was the intended target.
During the prior court proceedings, Magistrate Vincent Hlatshwayo highlighted the defendants’ inability to dispute cellphone evidence linking them to the crime scene.
He also noted that the accused failed to demonstrate why granting them bail would serve the interest of justice.
Based on the presented evidence, Hlatshwayo concluded that the accused have a case to answer, leading to the denial of their bail application.
AKA, was shot de@d in the coastal city of Durban, along with a friend. While leaving a restaurant and making their way to their car, Kiernan Forbes and his close friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, a chef and businessman, were assassinated. The reason for the murder is being looked into.
