“No to mushikashika & Touts” Ooperation continues , 226 more arrested

In a recent operation dubbed “No To Mushikashika and Touts”, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) arrested a total of 226 touts across the country.

This brings the cumulative arrests to 3,078. The operation, which is aimed at reducing the menace of touts and mushikashika operators, has been ongoing since its inception.

In addition to the touts, 903 motorists were also arrested for engaging in mushikashika, a practice that involves private drivers operating public transportation without proper licenses. This brings the cumulative arrests for motorists to 10,178.

The ZRP’s efforts to curb the activities of touts and mushikashika operators are part of a broader strategy to improve public transportation and reduce the risks associated with illegal transportation.

The operation has been met with widespread support from the public, who have been calling for tougher action against touts and mushikashika operators.

The police have promised to continue the operation until all illegal transportation activities have been eradicated.

The ZRP’s efforts to combat crime are also aimed at improving public safety and reducing the risk of accidents and other road-related incidents.

The police have been working hard to ensure that all road users comply with traffic laws and regulations, and those who fail to do so will be held accountable.
