Police in Norton have apprehended 27 year-old Soul Shezhu in connection with the m_rder of 39-year-old Matanhire Nyikadzino.
The lifeless body of the victim was discovered beside a footpath on August 21 2024.
Matanhire Nyikadzino d!ed after the vi0lent confrontation that took place at Jingxrown Farm the day before.
According to police , Shezhu allegedly att@cked Nyikadzino with a homemade knife, inflicting fatal wounds to his back and throat before making off with an unspecified amount of cash and the victim’s cellphone.
The police reported that the successful arrest of Shezhu not only brought closure to a grieving community but also led to the recovery of the m_rder weapon and the stolen cellphone.
As investigations continue, police are urging anyone with additional information to come forward to aid in piecing together the circumstances surrounding this devastating incident.
