The ministry of Transport and infrastructural Development has officially opened a completed section of Old Mazoe road, the expansion and resuscitation of Gwebi Bridge.
The 4KM stretch from Gwebi Bridge along Old Mazoe Road will enable road users to travel smoothly to new Parliament and Mount Hampden area.
According to Nick Mangwana the Permanent Secretary of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services’s X post, newsreportzim.com has learned that Hon. Minister Mhona has officially opened for trafific the 4KM section Old Mazoe Road to the New Parliament.
“Minister of Transport and infrastructural Development Hon. Mhona officially opened for traffic the completed section of Old Mazoe Road to the New Parliament and the expansion of and resuscitation of Gwebi Bridge.
The country is witnessing a resurgence of infrastructural development indicating a positive thrust by the 2nd Republic under the guidance of H.E President Mnangagwa,” the post reads.
Speaking during the official opening of the completed section of Old Mazoe Road, Minister Mhona said the infrastructure is the economic enabler.
“We are financing our own infrastructure, which is contrary to what other nations do when it comes to infrastructure rehabilitation and upgrades,” minister Mhona said.
