A devastating road traffic accident occurred at the 43-kilometer mark along Roy-Chiredzi Road on 27/12/24 at around 1130 hours, resulting in the tragic loss of one life and inj_ries to fourteen others.
The accident involved a Toyota Hiace kombi with 12 passengers on board was travelling towards Chiredzi that collided with an Audi A6 Sedan vehicle which was carrying three passengers on board. According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police in Masvingo, the Toyota Hiace Kombi tried to overtake the Audi vehicle which was turning to the right resulting in a collision.
Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene, and the victims were transported to Musiso Mission Hospital for treament. Unfortunately, one person d!ed on admission at the Hospital and the body was taken to Musiso Mission Hospital mortuary for post mortem.
Currently, the Zimbabwe Republic Police in Masvingo are investigating a fatal road traffic accident.
