A 14-year-old male juvenile has d!ed while two other female adults sustained severe burns in a tr@gic fire turned into an inferno during cooking. The sh0cking incident unfolded in Rujeko, Masvingo on Friday last week.
According to Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP)’s report, the fire emanated from a pot which had boiling cooking oil. Subsequently, the fire turned into an inferno after one of the v!ctims added onions onto the boiling pot.
“The ZRP confirms a fire incident which occurred in Rujeko, Masvingo on 24/01/25 in which a male juvenile (14) d!ed while two other female adults sustained severe burns after the house they were in caught fire.
The fire emanated from a pot which had boiling cooking oil. Subsequently, the fire turned into an inferno after one of the victims added onions onto the boiling pot,” Police report reads.
Meanwhile, ZRP in Gweru are investigating a case of m-rder which occurred at Guinea Fowl School in Gweru on Saturday last week in which a female student teacher, Keener Tsanana (21) was found de@d with a swollen forehead and bruises all over the body.
The victim’s boyfriend Valentine Tamuka Zireva (27) is being sought in connection with the case. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) are appealing to public with information to report at any nearest Police Station.
