Oscar Pambuka, well-known for his past work on screen, recently shared his plans following his release from Chikurubi Maximum Prison.
Pambuka, who previously worked as a news anchor for ZBC News, had been serving a thirty-month sentence for defrauding Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC), a subsidiary of ZESA, in a Public Relations deal worth over US$12,000.
Following his release after a successful appeal led by his lawyer, Panashe Sagwete, at the High Court earlier this month, Pambuka is now looking forward to embarking on a new venture.
Taking to his official Facebook page on Saturday, Oscar Pambuka announced that he will be launching a podcast. Although specific details such as the podcast’s name and launch date were not disclosed, he assured his followers that it would be coming “very soon.”
In a video shared on his Facebook page, Pambuka expressed his gratitude to his supporters and briefly touched on his experience during his time in prison.
“Thank you so much for joining me and I must say that it’s happy to be back and it was quite a journey at the higher school of learning. Now I’m here not to waste much of your time but to kindly request to you to extend your hand further. I’m starting a podcasting very very soon, Oscar Pambuka said in a video shared on his Facebook page.
Pambuka also extended an invitation to potential advertisers and partners to reach out to him through his social media channels.
“Right now I’m just calling upon each and every one of you if you like to partner with the Oscar Pambuka brand make sure you get in touch in my inbox as well as through the number I’m going to be leaving there. It’s a metamorphosis. It’s a change. It’s a transition and definitely don’t be left out. So partner with Oscar. So partner with Oscar and let’s kill the broadcasting industry in Zimbabwe. remember, I’m Oscar Pambuka and it’s all about the restoration,” Oscar Pambuka added.
