The recalled Member of Parliament for Tshabalala constituency, Honorable Gift Ostallos Siziba is leading the Donate A Book (DonateABook) Program which was launched to support the urgent need for educational materials in local schools.
Today, 07th of February 2025, Gift Ostallos Siziba and other opposition figures were in ward 13, Ward 20, and Ward 21 where they handed over exercise books to students at various schools in the three wards.
“Today, we handed over exercise books in Ward 13, Ward 20, and Ward 21.
“This is our home, and we will work hand in hand with our community leaders to make it a better place.
“We are products of the ghetto, educated and raised by the ghetto, and to the ghetto, we will always return,” Siziba said.
The initiative aims to facilitate the academic journeys of Zimbabwean students, helping them to achieve their aspirations.
The education situation in Zimbabwe has been a cause for concern, with many students from underprivileged backgrounds struggling to access education due to financial constraints. The cost of education has risen significantly in recent years, making it out of reach for many families.
This has resulted in a large number of young people being unable to pursue their dreams and contribute to the country’s development.
