Police in Lupane are appealing for information leading to the arrest of Clever Ngwenya (35), who is being sought for the callous murder of his parents, Mildress Ngwenya (71) and Simon Ngwenya (73).
The shocking incident occurred on Thursday during a family gathering at Gwalubha Village, Mabhikwa.
According to witnesses, the suspect stabbed his mother, Mildress Ngwenya, with a knife in the throat before turning his violence towards his father, Simon Ngwenya, whom he also stabbed in the throat with the same weapon.
The motive behind the attack remains unknown at this time.
Following the brutal assault on his parents, the suspect attempted to chase down his two brothers with the intention of harming them as well.
However, they managed to outrun him, evading any harm. The police are now actively searching for Clever Ngwenya to bring him to justice.
Police Urge Peaceful Resolution To Conflicts
In response to this tragic incident, the police have called on the public to seek peaceful resolutions to conflicts and disputes, rather than resorting to violence.

For an unknown reason while attending a family gathering at Gwalubha Village, Mabhikwa on 21/09/23. The suspect stabbed his mother, Mildress Ngwenya with a knife on the throat before stabbing his father, Simon Ngwenya on the throat with the same knife.
The suspect went on to chase his two brothers with the intention of stabbing them with the knife but was outpaced.
