In a bold move that has once again set Zimbabwe’s social media frenzied, Passion Java, known for his provocative statements and extravagant lifestyle, has publicly demanded that businessman Wicknell Chivayo gift popular Zimbabwean musician Winky D a car within 24 hours.
This announcement was made via Java’s social media platforms, where he shared an image of Baltasar Engonga, the Director General of the National Financial Investigation Agency in Equatorial Guinea.
Alongside the photo, Java issued the challenge, stating, “If Sir Wicknell doesn’t give Winky D a car in 24 hours, this man is visiting Zimbabwe.”
The post quickly gained traction, eliciting laughter, curiosity, and a mix of debates among fans, critics, and casual observers. While many found humor in Java’s outlandish claim, others speculated whether there was a more significant message woven into his words, potentially referencing Chivayo’s controversial past involving allegations of financial misconduct.

Reactions to Java’s demand were varied. Supporters of Winky D eagerly anticipated the possibility of him receiving a car, with one user commenting, “Java is always the king of mischief. But hey, if this gets Winky D a car, we’re all for it!” Conversely, some users criticized the public discourse, expressing that it detracts from more meaningful societal contributions. One user remarked, “This kind of public discourse is unnecessary. Java should focus on meaningful contributions to society instead of stirring controversy.”
As of now, there has been no public response from either Wicknell Chivayo or Passion Java regarding these developments. Java, a figure accustomed to stirring up debates in Zimbabwe’s entertainment and political spheres, continues to attract attention, as does Chivayo, who is frequently in the news for both his philanthropic efforts and controversial actions. Recently, Chivayo gifted luxury cars to ten prominent figures in Zimbabwe, including gospel musicians Leonard Zhakata and the Charambas, as well as soccer legend Moses Chunga.
With this latest demand, Passion Java has once again positioned himself at the center of Zimbabwe’s public discourse, leaving many to question his motives—whether they are rooted in genuine support for Winky D or merely another spectacle in his ongoing quest for attention.
