Former Zimbabwe coach Kalisto Pasuwa has been appointed as the coach of the Malawi national U-23 team.
The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) will be sending the U-23 side to this year’s COSAFA Cup in South Africa, with Pasuwa leading the team during the regional tournament.
He declined the vacant position for the Warriors job, which was eventually filled by Jairos Tapera, the coach of Manica Diamonds, as confirmed by The Nation newspaper.
Pasuwa has an impressive track record, having won the Malawian Premier League title five consecutive times with Nyasha Big Bullets, and securing four league titles in a row during his successful tenure at Dynamos.
