Friends and family of Soul Muzavazi, known professionally as Soul Jah Love, recently gathered in blue attire at the Warren Hills Heroes Acre in Harare to honor his memory during the unveiling of his tombstone.
Soul Jah Love, who passed away in February 2021 from complications related to diabetes, was remembered with deep respect. Zimbabwean radio personality and DJ, Godfather Templeman, shared images from the ceremony on his Facebook page.
“Soul Jah Love tombstone unveiling, MAKURUWANI, Ngwendeza, chibaba, mafundan’a, chigunduru, SAURO…🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽,” the proud friend wrote in his post.
After some public criticism about Soul Jah Love’s grave, the family has now put up a proper memorial.

The tall granite gravestone shows one of his most famous photos and has the words: “Ngwendeza. Soul Jah Luv is not just anything. Things. Makuruwani.”
