South African rapper Emtee recently got a tattoo in memory of American rapp3r Rich Homie Quan to honor his impact on music.
Rich Homie Quan tragically p@ssed away due to an acc!dental dru_g overdose, confirmed by the medical examiner’s office in Georgia.
The report revealed that Quan, whose real name was Dequantes Devontay Lamar, d!ed from a combination of substances, including f3ntanyl, @lpr@zolam, cod3ine, and pr0m3thazine.
His d3ath was ruled an acc!dent, as there were no signs of trauma when his body was discovered.
A woman called the police later that morning when she found that Quan was cold and not breathing.
Quan was 33 years old when he p@ssed away at an Atlanta hospital on September 5.
He was one of the biggest names in hip-hop during the mid-2010s, known for popular songs like “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” and “Type of Way.”
These songs were so successful that many other artists, including Jeezy and Meek Mill, created remixes.
He was featured on a track with YG and Jeezy and released the song “Lifestyle” with the Rich Gang collective, which included Young Thug and Birdman.
“Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” became his highest-charting solo song, reaching No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
He also appeared in Lil Dicky’s hit song “$ave Dat Money.”
In 2018, Quan released his first and only studio album, “Rich as in Spirit,” which included the single “Think About It” featuring Rick Ross.
