The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of Eleph Khumbula Gula-Ndebele, a 39-year-old individual, for unlawful possession of cocaine.
According to the police, the suspect was implicated in a drug dealing operation by a victim of dr+g abus3, Tsitsi Vundla, who was arrested in March 2024.
The investigation led to the arrest of six individuals in total, including Gula-Ndebele, who are believed to be part of a larger dr+g gang.
The other suspects arrested in connection with the case are Talent Mapanga , Takunda Godoka , Tapiwa Tanaka Chimuka and Sam Chasaya.

On May 24, 2024, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Drugs and Narcotics in Harare, made a significant arrest in their ongoing efforts to combat dr+g trafficking.
The suspect, identified as Eleph Khumbula Gula-Ndebele, was arrested after receiving information that he was located at a house along Knightsbridge Road in Highlands, Harare.
The arrest led to the recovery of a sachet containing cocaine, which was stashed in the front door panel of Gula-Ndebele’s vehicle, a VW Polo with registration number ABF 8319.
The arrest of Gula-Ndebele and the recovery of the cocaine is a significant blow to the drug trafficking syndicate, and it is likely that the authorities will continue to investigate and follow up on leads to bring other individuals involved in the operation to justice.
