The Zimbabwe Republic Police is seeking assistance from the public in relation to an armed robbery that took place on November 3, 2024, at Pircy Farm in Goromonzi.
A group of six unidentified male assailants, equipped with machetes and firearms, illegally entered the property by slicing through the backyard fence.
Once inside, they accessed the kitchen through an unlocked door and launched a surprise att_ck on the homeowners.
During the incident, the robbers made off with a significant amount of cash totaling USD 3,000, along with various items including clothing, two speakers, three mobile phones, laptops, jewelry, groceries, and three guns.
Fortunately, two of the stolen firearms, specifically two shotguns and a pellet gun, were later found abandoned in the farm’s backyard.
The police have managed to gather video evidence from the CCTV surveillance system installed on the property, which captured the faces and clothing of the suspects.
Authorities are keen to piece together more information and are reaching out to the community for any tips that could aid their investigation.
