A 30-year-old self-proclaimed prophet, Luckmore Believe Mugabe, from Savanhu Village under Chief Seke, faced a Chitungwiza Magistrate Court on Thursday, where bail was denied due to serious allegations of r@ping a 13-year-old girl.
According to reports from H-Metro, Luckmore, a member of the Johanne Masowe Ejerusalem church, is accused of @ss@ulting a Grade Seven student from his congregation.
He has been remanded in custody until December 11, facing two counts of rap3.
The first incident allegedly took place in February 2023. Around 3 PM, Luckmore visited the girl’s home and requested her mother’s permission for the girl to spend the night at his house, claiming he was going to an all-night prayer meeting.

The mother consented.
Later that evening, at approximately 8 PM, Luckmore returned to the girl’s home, stating he had forgotten a clay pot.
Once inside, he reportedly locked the door and threatened the girl with a knife, coercing her into removing her clothing before assaulting her. The girl did not disclose this incident to anyone at the time.
The second alleged incident occurred when the girl’s mother sent her to deliver an inverter to Luckmore.
It is claimed that he again assaulted her without her consent.
On November 5, the girl’s mother consulted a prophetess, who revealed that the girl had been s3xually abus3d.
This information prompted the girl’s mother to take action, leading to Luckmore’s arr3st on November 18.
