Three Valencia football fans have appeared in Valencia Magistrate court on 10 June 2024 for h@te crimes against the Brazilian star Vinicius Jr.
The three supporters, were pleaded guilty to the charges and sentenced to eight months in prison.
According to SABC News’ X post, “three Valencia football fans were sentenced to eight months in prison on Monday for h@te crimes against Real Madrid’s Brazil player Vinicius Jr, the first conviction for rac!st insults in a soccer stadium in Spain, the court announced.”
It is reportedly that there are sixteen incidents of rac!st ab-se against Real Madrid forward Vinicius have been reported to Spanish prosecutors by LaLiga in the last two seasons.
In March 2024, Vinicius broke down in te@rs at a press conference and said he was struggling to stay motivated and enjoy playing football due to the recurring ab-se, urging Spanish authorities to take action.
The three were also b@nned from entering football stadiums for two years and ordered to pay the costs of the proceedings.
