Former Manchester City and England winger Raheem Sterling has joined Premier League rivals Arsenal FC on loan from Chelsea.
Arsenal’s director confirmed the surprising loan deal for Raheem Sterling, as the Chelsea outcast finally secured a move away after being banished to the ‘bomb squad’ by Chelsea’s head coach.
“It makes a lot of sense to have someone like Raheem”.
“He has experience, he understands more than anyone the league and he’s played in the Champions League many times… so we really needed that”.
The 29-year-old winger joins the club having won every domestic honor, including four Premier League titles and five Football League Cups. Sterling has made 379 appearances in the top flight, scoring 123 goals and providing 63 assists.
Meanwhile, the winger will play alongside his former teammate Gabriel Jesus, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City.
The two have won several Premier League titles with their former club.
