Gabriel Freitas, a Brazilian reality TV star known for his remarkable transformation, passed away at the age of 37 after a battle with weight gain following the loss of his father and brother.
He di3d peacefully from a heart @tt@ck on December 30 while napping in bed, according to friend Ricard Gouvea.
Freitas captured public attention in 2017 after appearing on Brazil’s Record TV show, Programa do Gugu, showcasing his incredible 32-stone weight loss through a balanced diet and exercise.
Standing at 6ft 4ins, Gabriel had initially weighed over 50 stone in 2015 but managed to drop to just 18 stone in a year and a half.

His inspiring journey brought him acclaim and 700,000 Instagram followers, with the host of the show praising his dedication.

At the time of his passing, Gabriel had nearly reached 60 stone. In recent months, he had announced plans to embark on a new weight loss journey to reach 15 stone without surgery or medication.
Just before his d3ath, he shared a motivational message on Instagram, encouraging others not to give up and to keep fighting.
Freitas documented his weight loss journey on his YouTube channel, My Parallel Universe, which he started seven years ago.
In an early video, he shared his initial weight of 320kg (approximately 50 stone) and his goal of inspiring others to achieve their weight loss dreams.
In the wake of his d3ath, friends and followers expressed their sh0ck and sorrow.
Gouvea reflected on Gabriel’s strength, stating, “He fought to the end… He was a very good person with a very good heart.”
Another follower commented, “I can’t believe this, my God.”
