A harrowing incident unfolded in Bulawayo city centre after a long day of work. Tendy Three Investments (TTI) workers, rushing to their offices, were involved in a road accident at the intersection of 9th Avenue and Robert Mugabe. The incident occurred when the group attempted to cross the road without caution.
According to eyewitnesses, a Toyota Hilux, traveling at a low speed, hit one of the workers. The impact was sudden, causing another worker to collapse from shock, despite not being physically hit. Emergency services were quickly called to the scene.
The ambulance arrived promptly and took the injured worker, who sustained minor injuries, to seek medical attention. The second worker, who had collapsed from shock, was left behind after regaining consciousness. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and vigilance, even in busy urban areas.
