A devastating road accident has left 22 people !njured, with scores more narrowly escaping de@th. The incident occurred at approximately 0600 hours this morning at the 10km peg along Selbourne-Aberfoyle Road.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), an ATEGO Mercedes Benz truck carrying 27 passengers veered off the road and overturned, throwing all occupants out of the vehicle.
Miraculously, five passengers and the driver escaped without !njuries.
The ZRP have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, which is believed to be one of the worst in recent months.
The !njured passengers were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment, with several reportedly in critical condition.
