Police in Penhalonga are appealing for information to assist in the investigation of a robbery that occurred at Mberi Village, Mutasa on July 8 2024.
On that day, five unknown suspects @ttacked three complainants with machetes, leaving them with varying !njuries.
The victims were subsequently referred to a hospital in Mutare for treatment.
The suspects made off with a significant amount of cash and valuables during the robbery. Specifically, they stole US$15 000 in cash, 20 grams of gold, and various clothing items.
To make their getaway, the suspects ordered one of the complainants’ cars, a White Nissan Serena with registration number AFY 4673. The vehicle was not empty, as it was loaded with 10 bags of maize, each weighing 50 kilograms.
The police are now appealing to anyone with information that may assist in the investigation to come forward.
The police are also are working hard to identify and apprehend the suspects responsible for this brutal robbery and bring them to justice.
