The Harare Police Department is urgently appealing for information related to a recent robbery that occurred in a secluded area known as Railways Wagons Strips along Kenneth Kaunda Road.
In an alarming incident, three unidentified suspects ass@ulted a complainant by using pepper spray before making off with a significant sum of money amounting to US$7 000.
According to police reports, the complainant, who had recently hired a taxi from Road Port to Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, stopped in the bushy area to relieve himself when he was ambushed by the culprits. The unexpected @ttack left the victim defenseless, allowing the suspects to rob him of his cash before fleeing the scene.
Authorities are particularly concerned about this brazen act of criminality, which not only threatens public safety but also highlights the risks associated with traveling alone in remote areas.
