A Zimbabwean haulage driver fell from his truck and d!ed instantly at the Chirundu Border Post recently.
The driver is yet to be identified, but he was traveling from Zimbabwe to Zambia. The incident happened on 27 November 2023 at night. He was waiting for the border to open in the morning so he could pass through immigration.
As he waited, he opened the door of his truck and mysteriously slipped and fell to the ground. He descended headlong and crashed to the ground with his head. His skull broke as a result of the impact from the fall and he d!ed instantly from head trauma.
Other drivers were shocked to wake up and see the door of his truck open as he lied lifeless next to it.
A picture circulating on Facebook show him lying on the ground in an awkward position, dead.
