The discussions surrounding the sponsorship shows a mix of enthusiasm and hope for affordable replica kits, reflecting the significant impact of this sponsorship on the teams and their supporters.
Chemical Process Engineer Kudzai Mutisi thanked Sakunda Holdings for their sponsorship of the Zimbabwe’s two biggest football clubs: Dynamos & Highlanders!!
This is the 4th year of sponsorship. Awesome to see a Homegrown Company excelling in Corporate Social Responsibility! Scenes👇🏽 from the unveiling of their 2024 Season uniforms from their principal sponsor, Sakunda Holdings. This is the advantage of having homegrown companies owned by patriotic citizens like Mr Kuda Tagwirei. Says Mutisi.
During the past 3 years Sakunda poured US$ 6 million to the two clubs with each club getting abt a million dollars per season.

Well done Elder Tagwirei. Keep doing the Lord’s work 👏👏👏👏

Isn’t it a pity that our local league is so poorly run that there is no business incentive of being a sponsor of a premier league side! It’s so bad that companies literally have to use the CSR / philanthropy route to derive some kind of benefit from it!
How can this be fixed?
@Ralphlives4ever
Tagwirei doesn’t own Sakunda anymore.He might have a few shares.But he doesn’t own it.

What do fifa rules say about the same sponsor sponsoring 2 teams in the same league?

Mukoma in a functional economy this wont be Corporate Social responsibility, companies would be fighting to have their names on Zimbabwe’s two biggest clubs. The deals would be million dollar endorsements where the clubs are not treated like a charity chase

Personally this was a good business move by Sakunda and I hope we see some business people do the same or creation of academies that do that.
