A 17-year-old m_rder suspect has appeared in court facing charges of k!lling his former classmate.
The 17-year-old boy from Marira village under Chief Ndanga in Shurugwi appeared before Shurugwi magistrate Percy Mukumba Friday facing charges of m_rder.
Allegations are that on the 1st of this month, the deceased Tawanda Muzvihwi, who was also 17, was watching television at Chachacha Business Centre when he was approached by the accused.
The court heard that the accused confronted Muzvihwi, accusing him of bullying during their primary school days.
It is alleged that a misunderstanding ensued between the two former classmates leading to a fight.
According to court papers, the accused withdrew an okapi knife and $tbbed the deceased three times on the neck.
The accused fled the scene, but he was arrested at Hwandara Mine in Shurugwi, where he was hiding.
He was remanded in custody to the 22nd of this month for continuation of trial.
