As two of his kids exited the Manhattan courtroom on Tuesday (September 17), US music entrepreneur Sean “Diddy” Combs went to jail to await trial.
Diddy has been charged in a federal s3x trafficking case, accusing him of presided over a decade of sexual crimes covered by extortion and vi0lence.
The 54-year-old, who was detained on Monday (September 16), pleaded not guilty. His attorney was confident.
“Mr. Combs is a fighter. He’s going to fight this to the end. He’s innocent. He came to New York to establish his innocence. He’s not afraid. He’s not afraid of the charges. There’s nothing that the government said in their presentation today that changes anyone’s mind about anything.”
According to the indictment, Combs was in charge of a criminal organization that participated in or attempted to participate in narcotics offenses, k!dnapping, arson, bribery, forced labor, s3x trafficking, and obstruction of justice.
The founder of Bad Boy Records is accused of abusing women s3xually and physically, concealing it all with the help of his personal assistants, security, and household staff. In order to keep witnesses and victims silent, the prosecution claims he allegedly attempted to pay and intimidate them.
Prosecutors claim that during the searches of Combs’ residences earlier this year, drugs, recordings of the performances, and over a thousand bottles of lubricant and baby oil were found. Agents allegedly also took possession of weapons and ammo, including three AR-15s.
In a court filing, prosecutors accused Combs and an unidentified co-conspirator of kidn@pping someone at gunpoint in December 2011 in order to facilitate a break-in at another person’s home. Two weeks later, prosecutors wrote, Combs set fire to someone’s vehicle by slicing open its convertible top and dropping in a Molotov cocktail.
