Police authorities in Masvingo are actively seeking assistance from the public in the search for a male suspect known only as Augustine, who is wanted in connection with the murd3r of 38 year old Edmore Mugwazhi.
The incident occurred on August 24 2024, when Mugwazhi, a security guard at a bottle store located at Choga Business Centre in Zaka, became involved in a heated argument with Augustine regarding the establishment’s operating hours.
This confrontation escalated into a vi0lent scuffle during which Augustine kicked Mugwazhi indiscriminately with booted feet, inflicting severe inj_ries.
Following the ass@ult, Mugwazhi was rushed to Masvingo General Hospital, where he battled for his life but ultimately succumbed to his inj_ries on August 26 2024, while under medical care.
Police are urging anyone with information regarding Augustine’s whereabouts or any details about the incident to come forward, as they work diligently to bring the suspect to justice and prevent further acts of vi0lence in the community.
