Zimdancehall musician Seh Calaz has missed out on an opportunity to receive a car gift from Wicknell Chivayo due to his Facebook post critiquing Zanu-PF.
This came to light after Wicknell Chivayo bought a car for a US155K Mercedes Benz GLE500d car for Sandra Ndebele.
In a Facebook post on 22 December 2023, Seh Calaz criticized the ruling party Zanu-PF.
He expressed disappointment over the lack of change five months after the elections. He questioned the progress and voiced concerns about issues affecting the community.
“5 Months after ma elections apera ,hapana chachinja patanga tiri ndipo patichingori tatodzokera kumashure ,mashefu havachabatike ,ava ma bluetik vakutensa vava too busy nekudya nemhuri dzavo ,isu takanomirira ma erekisheni anoteveraaa takufonerwa everyday kunzi hande ku toitoi mpfanha wangu huya ujambise mafans ako,and inini besides kuti i source of income handitadze kuuya nekuti kunenge kuine Mabhanditi. My question is kana zvichidaro pamuti munyoro ko wakaoma ,ko ma

A few weeks back, he posted something saying it’s been 5 months after the elections, and Zanu PF has delivered nothing to the electorate. I beg to differ because I see the hard work by the second Republic with massive billion dollar projects being either negotiated, commissioned, implemented or commenced.

In a recent Instagram post announcing his latest car purchase for Sandra Ndebele, Wicknell Chivayo shared how, on his birthday, he pledged to buy cars for three singers and a DJ.
Furthermore, he disclosed that he initially intended to gift a car to a specific musician but altered his decision after the musician criticized Zanu-PF.
Although he did not mention the musician’s name, it became automatically clear that he was referring to Seh Calaz as he made reference to the post he wrote last year.
Wicknell Chivayo expressed his dismay, citing the post as offensive. He contends that he was not amused by the way Zanu-PF was criticized and its achievements after the elections were downplayed.
Asserting his commitment to utilizing his hard-earned money at his discretion, Chivayo consequently chose not to purchase a car for Seh Calaz and instead opted to gift Sandra Ndebele a car.
“The tone of his post offended me as it was based on ignorance and attention seeking hence i disqualified him considering the legal tender being used to purchase these vehicles is mine. I will not be intimidated by anyone for using my hard earned money the way i want saka Ukatuka kana kushora Zanu PF to me ndinorwadziwa kunge watuka MAI VANGU,” Wicknell Chivayo wrote.
