A former Member of Parliament for Chikomba East Constituency, Sekai Irene Nzenza, has been appointed as the new ambassador to France.
The appointment was made by His Excellency Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.
“It is hereby notified that His Excellency the President has, in terms of section 110(2)(i) as read with section 204 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, appointed Sekai Irene Nzenza Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France,” the government gazette reads.
Sekai Nzenza’s new role includes representing Zimbabwe at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation in Paris and the United Nations Tourism in Madrid, Spain.
Nzenza served in government first as Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare minister and then as Industry and Commerce minister respectively.
