A man named Gore Mukondiwa was arr3sted after he insisted on seeing former first lady Grace Mugabe at her home in Borrowdale Brooke, Harare.
This happened on October 29, and he was charged with cr!m!nal trespass because the police officers guarding her house would not let him in.
In court, the magistrate, Sharon Rakafa, decided to keep Mukondiwa in custody until November 7 and ordered him to have a mental health evaluation.
The court learned that Grace Mugabe was having visitors at the time and refused to see Mukondiwa, calling him a “nuisance.”
Mukondiwa claimed he had a prophecy he wanted to share with Grace Mugabe, who is the widow of former President Robert Mugabe.
In court, he seemed surprised about the mental evaluation order, insisting he was a “spiritual guide” and in good mental health.

This is not the first time Mukondiwa has been involved in controversy. In 2022, he threatened to replace the current chief of Marange in Manicaland, claiming to be the rightful heir.
He said his great-great grandfather, also named Gore Mukondiwa, was once the leader of the Marange people but was killed by the current chief’s ancestor.
Mukondiwa stated that the spirit of his ancestor was now demanding that he be made the leader of the Marange people. Furthermore, he shared that he has been single since 2004 after divorcing his wife, blaming mysterious reasons linked to his ancestor’s spirit that have caused divorces in his family.
