The accident occurred at the Dzivaresekwa turn-off along Bulawayo Road in Harare early Wednesday morning.

This comes barely a week after another tragic accident involving a van and truck occurred at Dzivarasekwa turnoff traffic lights
In that crash, three people died on the spot, while four others sustained injuries.
The accident occurred around 9 PM when a speeding DAF truck, loaded with washing powder, failed to stop at the traffic lights and rammed into a Nissan NV van before overturning.
The Nissan NV van, reportedly en route to a funeral, sustained severe rear damage. One passenger was trapped inside for some time before being rescued.
The overturned truck spilled its cargo of washing powder onto the road, adding to the scene’s chaos. The crash also damaged an empty commuter omnibus and another small car parked nearby.
