A suspected robber from Zimbabwe had his feet cut off after being caught near the Limpopo River by Beitbridge, where he was known to operate.
It is believed that people he had crossed during his cr!m!nal activities were responsible for this act.
Disturbing images shared on social media showed the man lying on the ground, unable to move, with his severed feet beside him.
The man, whose identity is not yet known but is thought to be from the Renco Mine area in Masvingo, was part of a gang that targeted smugglers using unofficial crossing points between South Africa and Zimbabwe.

A voice note shared with the images provided details about his capture and the amputation of his feet.
“Look at what’s happened on the South African side. There’s a robber who had his legs chopped off by the river. Police have refused to take him to the hospital; he’s still there. It’s believed he is from Renco Mine. He was caught by the river,” the voice note said.
Later reports indicated that the man was taken to Musina Hospital for treatment.
Various gangs engage in robberies, particularly targeting those who smuggle goods between the two countries.
Despite the presence of police and military personnel, many criminals continue to operate freely, with some living under bridges and using inspection areas as makeshift homes.
As of now, South African police have not made any comments about the incident.
