A sense of disbelief has taken hold in Murewa following a significant theft at Linnah’s Wholesale, commonly referred to as Marunner Manyama.
Murewa Times has it that an employee, known as Ruvimbo, is under suspicion for allegedly absconding with approximately $2000 USD before vanishing.
The incident transpired just before the store closed for the day, around 5 PM on Monday.
According to statements from witnesses, Ruvimbo had been diligently overseeing transactions at the till throughout her shift.
As it neared closing time, she exited the premises under the guise of attending to an errand. It wasn’t long after her departure that staff discovered the funds were missing, triggering an urgent investigation.

Management reported the theft to the police, thus filing an official complaint. Despite extensive efforts to locate her, Ruvimbo’s whereabouts remain elusive.
Her phone is currently turned off, and efforts to make contact have failed.
The last known sighting was at the PaGomba bus stop, where it is suspected she boarded a kombi heading towards either Harare or Mutoko.
Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with pertinent information regarding Ruvimbo’s whereabouts to come forward. A reward has been established for any tips that might aid in her apprehension or lead to the recovery of the stolen money.
Linnah’s Wholesale, recognized for its extensive range of budget-friendly products, has expressed serious concern regarding the situation.
