Talented Zimdancehall artist Silent Killer, whose real name is Jimmy Mudereri, is currently in police custody after being arrested for fraud.
The “Ngairire Ngwere” hitmaker is facing serious charges and is being held at ZRP Matapi. He is scheduled to appear at the Harare Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
The drama began on 3 June 2024 when Seh Wish Entertainment engaged Silent Killer to perform and headline the Mambodo Birthday Bash on 22 June 2024.
According to a representative from the company, Silent Killer charged them US$500 for the performance and accepted a US$250 advance payment, with the remaining amount due on the day of the show.
Seh Wish Entertainment sent Silent Killer the event flyer, expecting him to promote the bash on his social media pages.

However, the promoter was shocked when Silent Killer did not promote the event at all, despite being the headliner.
On the day of the event, fans gathered in anticipation of Silent Killer’s performance.
However, he never showed up, leaving the crowd disappointed and the promoters in a difficult position.
Efforts to reach him were unsuccessful as he ignored all calls from Seh Wish Entertainment.
Days later, the promoters finally got hold of Silent Killer, but the conversation was anything but pleasant.
In a recorded phone call, Seh Wish Entertainment demanded the return of their advance payment. Silent Killer responded with hostility, saying:
“Iwewe wakadzorera vanhu here mari yawakatora pa gate? Indava uine hutsinye iwewe mpfanha iwewe? Haikona kuita zveruvengo uriwe wakauya uchikumbira.
Brain dzako dzakadhakwa. Madiro acho aunoita profit ka akanyanya. Remember wakakumbira iwewe mari yako haitokwane.”
Silent Killer also suggested that involving the police would not help matters.
Despite entering negotiations and promising to repay the US$250 advance once he received an expected payment, Silent Killer failed to return the money. Seh Wish Entertainment reported that ZRP Matapi invited Silent Killer to the station to address the matter, but he refused to comply.
As a result, the police apprehended him on Saturday, 13 July. According to police sources, Silent Killer remains in custody and will face fraud allegations in court on 14 July.
His upcoming court appearance will determine the next steps in this unfolding legal drama.
