South African radio presenter Mthobeli ‘KCi’ August has died.
Former Umhlobo Wenene FM radio presenter Dj Mthobeli ‘KCi’ August passed away on Friday at the age of 47.
In a statement, his family confirmed his tragic death. They disclosed that they found Mthobeli “KCi” August unconscious in his Johannesburg home.
“It is with great sadness that the August family announces the passing of their son Mthobeli KCi August. Mthobeli was discovered unconscious in his Johannesburg home on Friday, 29 December 2023.“
His family asked for privacy during this difficult period and also stated that funeral details would be announced in due course.
“We ask for privacy during this time of mourning. The funeral details will be shared in due course.”
KCi August, a celebrated radio host, captivated audiences throughout South Africa with his distinctive presentation style. Many have described him as one of the best radio presenters in Mzansi. His death has touched a lot of hearts.
