ZIFA has encouraged its stakeholders to be aware of imposters who are allegedly advertising FIFA courses on their behalf.
The association said in a statement that it had taken note of the spread of “false information regarding the introduction of FIFA courses”.
Football administrators, especially those involved in local development, are at risk of losing their money. ZIFA said in a statement that it has not currently run any FIFA approved courses.
“We want to state that the Association is not currently involved in these courses. Furthermore, there are no courses currently in progress, but the Association will organize them in due course.
“It is crucial to emphasize to the public that impersonating football officials is a criminal offence, as is spreading such misleading and alarmist statements via social media platforms.
“All communications regarding FIFA courses will be conducted strictly through our official channels. We urge the public to disregard any statements that are not issued through official ZIFA channels,” ZIFA said in a statement.
