Alfred Ruf, a 71-year-old man from India, has confessed to a sh0cking scheme involving the po!soning of his wife, Liza Bishop, with the intent of marrying her daughter.
Charged with @ggr@vated battery and posing a risk of d3ath, Ruf has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to his actions.
The disturbing case began in 2021 when Ruf reportedly spiked his wife’s Coca-Cola drinks with various dru_gs, including c0caine and MDMA. Mrs. Bishop began experiencing a range of alarming symptoms such as headaches, drowsiness, and diarrhea, which ultimately led her to seek medical help.

Over a few weeks, she was hospitalized six times and, during her treatment, doctors discovered unknown substances in her system.
Concerned about her health, Liza eventually noticed a powdery residue in her drinks, prompting her to contact the authorities in January 2022 after suspecting foul play.
Meanwhile, Ruf had already confessed to his wife about his intent to poison her, further admitting to law enforcement that he was “spiking” her drinks with drugs he had obtained from her 31-year-old daughter.
Ruf’s confession revealed that he and the daughter had been involved in a s3xual relationship, and she had made promises to marry him if her mother were no longer in the picture.
According to Ruf’s statement, both women had instructed him to lace Liza’s drinks to induce prolonged sleep—up to 13 hours—making it easier to execute their plan.
Court documents detail how Ruf would sprinkle the dru_gs into his wife’s beverages, and the daughter would also visit to add more substances.
Disturbingly, the two women would engage in s3xual acts at Ruf’s home while dressed in Bishop’s clothing as part of the overarching plot.
The ultimate goal was to eliminate Liza Bishop, benefiting from her life insurance policy, which Ruf confirmed was part of their plan.
He admitted to p0is0ning his wife a total of 12 times between September and December 2021, fully understanding the d3adly potential of the substances he used.
In addition to his pr!son sentence, Ruf has been sentenced to five years of probation.
Authorities continue to investigate the involvement of the two other suspects linked to the case, although no additional arrests have been made as of yet.
