Supporting Zanu PF is a direct honour of the prophecy: Vapostori 4ED

President Mnangagwa’s Appearance At The Johane Marange Apostolic Church Has Added A New Dimension To The Political Landscape In Zimbabwe

Vapostori among other indigenous churches are traditionally staunch Zanu PF supporters since the liberation war.
Full Gospel Church International is optimistic that its members are self-empowered through shared self enterpreurship doctrine with its “anointed” Zanu PF government.

Allied to Zanu PF, the church says Baba Johanne its founder had long prophesied during colonial era that the country will attain independence under black rule stressing that people should safeguard Zimbabwe from being recolonised.

This was said recently at the church’s special Sabbath service to congratulate President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s victory in St Marys, Chitungwiza.

Former Chitungwiza mayor and Zanu PF central committee member Joseph Macheka and ward 7 losing councillor Angirayi Makanda graced the event attended by hundreds of congregants.

Vapostori among other indigenous churches are traditionally staunch Zanu PF supporters since the liberation war

“Our founding spiritual father the late Baba Johanne prophesied back in 1932 that Zimbabwe would attain black majority rule and urged the people never to return the country into the hands of colonisers,” said the church’s Archbishop Inos Madondo, the Harare province leader.

“Thus, for us supporting Zanu PF is a direct honour of the prophecy of our founding spiritual father.

“We congratulate our President Emmerson Mnangagwa for another five year term, praying and urging him to continue leading the party, government and country in the right path.

“This is the message that we were sent to convey by the church’s seven member governing body.

“In this message we are also guided by the election results as announced by the Zimbabwe Election Commission that Zanu PF and President Emmerson Mnangagwa won the election.”

He said they were not surprised by the outcome since a prophecy was long delivered that Mnangagwa would romp to victory.

The church reiterated its loyalty to Zanu PF “both in good and bad times” saying since inception in 1932, the church has been loyal to the party and its subsequent government.

According to the church, 85% of its member are into own small and medium entrepreneurial projects ranging from carpentry, basketry, engineering and welding that are taught in the church since inception following the founders prophecy that discouraged working for the white men.

Archbishop Madondo urged Zimbabweans to subscribe to the biblical doctrine that implores citizens to be allegiant to people in authority. He said a ruler is not a monster to his subjects.

Macheka thanked the church for its unwavering support and for leading other churches in congratulating his party and said he will ensure that the message gets to President Mnangagwa.

He also thanked the church which he described as one of the biggest denominations for praying for peace.

“During the campaign we went to various churches seeking support and on behalf of the party and president we thank you for your support that saw us winning the election,” Macheka said.

“Our leader comes from the people and knows what the people want.

“He wants people to stay in peace praying for the country.”

However, Zanu PF failed to win a single parliamentary seat or slot in the council in Chitungwiza in the August 23 and 24 elections.

Apostle Tsopota, a senior member of the church, said his spiritual father was Mutumwa Johanne while the Zanu PF leader was the political one.
