In a bid to revolutionize the country’s transportation sector, the Special Investment Advisor to the President, Dr. Paul Tunguwara, officially launched the Tap & Go taxi service yesterday at Trablabas Interchange. The launch was attended by prominent government officials, including the Minister of ICT, Dr. Tatenda Mavetera, and the Minister of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training, Hon. Tino Machakaire.
Tap & Go promises to change the way Zimbabweans travel, offering a modern and efficient taxi service that leverages technology to make booking rides easier and faster. The service uses a user-friendly mobile app and internet-connected cars to connect customers with drivers.
The app allows customers to book rides from the comfort of their homes or offices, and the car will arrive at their location. Tap & Go offers three levels of luxury rides: Platinum, Gold, and Silver, catering to different customer needs and preferences.
With Tap & Go, Zimbabweans can expect a more convenient and reliable transportation experience. The service is set to compete with other popular ride-hailing services like InDrive, promising to bring more options and better services to customers.
As the country continues to embrace technology and innovation, Tap & Go’s launch is a significant step towards modernizing Zimbabwe’s transportation sector.
