An 18-year-old boy from Kokoloza Village in Lusulu, Binga, Matabeleland North Province, stands accused of a heinous act of ƨǝxuɑl @b_se. The young man allegedly sod0mized a 13-year-old boy after coercing him to watch expl!c!t materials.
The accused, whose identity is withheld for ethical reasons, appeared before Binga resident magistrate Victor Mpofu, facing a charge of aggravated ind3c3nt @ss@_lt. During the hearing, he was remanded in custody until April 11.
According to the allegations, the incident took place on February 25, 2024, at around 2 PM in the Kokoloza grazing area. At that time, the victim was herding cattle with his cousin, who subsequently left him alone to gather wild fruits.
Seizing the opportunity, the accused approached the complainant, accusing him of allowing his cattle to graze in his field. The accused then forcibly took hold of the complainant’s hand and force-marched him to a nearby river. Crossing the river, he tightened his grip on the complainant’s neck and compelled him to lie face-down on the ground.
It was at this point that the accused allegedly subjected the victim to watch expl!c!t content on his mobile phone. Despite the complainant’s resistance, the accused str_ck him repeatedly on the head with open hands.
Subsequently, the accused forcibly removed the victim’s trousers and reportedly engaged in non-cons3nsu@l @n@l interc0urse.
Throughout the ordeal, the complainant screamed, prompting the accused to strike him again on the head. After the act, the accused forcibly accompanied the victim to a field where he claimed the complainant’s cattle had been grazing.
Eventually, the victim managed to escape and promptly reported the incident to his parents, who then notified the police. The report led to the apprehension of the accused.
