Halle Bailey, known for her role in ‘The Little Mermaid,’ has been granted a temporary restraining order against her former partner, rapper and YouTuber DDG. The order was issued after Bailey alleged physical and verbal abuse, citing multiple incidents that left her fearing for her safety and that of their one-year-old son, Halo.
According to court documents, the abuse allegedly began in January, when Bailey claimed DDG became violent during a confrontation about their child’s visitation schedule. Bailey stated that DDG pulled her hair and slammed her face into the steering wheel, chipping her tooth. Photos of her injuries, including bruises and bite marks on her arms, were attached to the filing as evidence.
Other incidents detailed in the documents include:
– Alleged Break-In: DDG allegedly entered Bailey’s home without permission, took a photo of her bed, and sent it to her with a threatening message.
– Destroyed Property: In another incident, DDG allegedly destroyed Bailey’s Ring camera and took her phone, throwing it out the window as he drove away.
– Verbal Abuse: Bailey also claimed DDG frequently verbally abused her in front of their son, Halo.
The temporary restraining order requires DDG to stay 100 yards away from Bailey and their child. Bailey has also been granted permission to take Halo to Italy for two months while she films a movie. A future hearing will determine whether the restraining order will be extended for up to five years.
Bailey’s allegations have sparked widespread concern, with many supporters condemning DDG’s alleged behavior. As the case progresses, Bailey’s priority appears to be protecting herself and her child from further harm.
