The Chinhoyi Police Station is currently investigating a case of th3ft from a motor vehicle that occurred on July 8 2024, near the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development offices in the Chinhoyi Central Business District.
According to reports, the v!ctim, a motorist, had parked their vehicle in the area and was attending to some personal matters when unknown suspects broke into the vehicle and stole US$15 200 in cash.
The th3ft is believed to have occurred between 10:00 am and 11:30 am on the day in question, while the driver was distracted by other activities.
The police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from nearby cameras and gathering evidence at the scene to identify the suspects and recover the st0len cash.
The police are also interviewing witnesses and reviewing any potential leads to track down the culprits.
The police urges motorists to be vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect their vehicles and valuables, especially in busy areas.
