Former Kaizer Chiefs attacker Khama Billiat has picked up a fresh injury in Zimbabwe.
Former Kaizer Chiefs star Billiat is injured again
Billiat joined Yadah recently after almost eight months out of football after leaving Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
His switch to the Harare outfit surprised many, and he’s made five appearances for the club since joining. However, he’s now picked up a shin injury in a 2-0 defeat to Simba Bhora that will keep him on the sidelines for a couple of weeks.
This injury occurred early in the match. Yadah coach Thomas Ruzive must now prepare his team for a trip to Gweru to face TelOne without their new marquee man. Yadah sit bottom of the Castle Lager Premiership with only two points
A victory has appeared elusive for Ruzive’s men, who have failed to register a win in five attempts. Yadah Stars are rock-bottom of the Castle Lager Premiership with two points after five outings.
HEAD COACH BEMOANS BILLIAT INJURY
Yadah coach Thomas Ruzive told FARPost that Billiat’s absence will weigh heavily but believes the other players will step up to the plate.
“It’s a huge blow for us because we can’t afford to go for two weeks without our key player,” said Ruzive.
“Everyone knows what he brings to the team, but injuries are part of this game. I believe we have players who can fill that void. We have been playing well, and the results we are getting are not a true reflection of our performance. I guess it’s just a matter of time before we start getting the desired results.”

LOANE EXITS ON THE CARDS FOR KAIZER CHIEFS DUO ZWANE AND RADEBE
“These two boys have struggled to break into the first team since they were promoted but they are the ones for the future for [Kaizer] Chiefs,” a source close to the club told the Citizen.
“The club values both of them, but they will not get any better sitting on the bench hence a decision has been made to loan them out,” the source added.
Samkelo Zwane has been a bit-part player this season. The 22-year-old midfield schemer has made only six appearances in the league after falling down the pecking order. Coach Cavin Johnson has favoured more experienced options Yusuf Maart, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Edson Castillo and even the soon-departing Siyethemba Sithebe. This situation didn’t look likely at the back end of the last campaign when Zwane became a fixture in the Amakhosi engine room.
Whether or not he can return after a potential loan move is up for debate. Compact attacking midfielder Radebe, now 24, had a short stint in the first team last season but has hardly featured this term. He has only two outings in the league.
