This past weekend, over 13,000 women and kids flocked to the Alex Sports Club for the highly anticipated Doek and Slay outdoor party, and the scene was nothing short of spectacular.
Dressed in stylish denim and crisp white tops with vibrant doeks, the ladies truly nailed the dress code, and they even brought their kids along for the fun.
The event set a new record for attendance, making it the largest Doek and Slay yet. But as the celebration got underway, things took a disappointing turn for some.

Many eager attendees found themselves locked out of the event, discovering too late that they had fallen victim to scam artists selling fake tickets. The drama unfolded as security at the entrance seized tickets, revealing them to be counterfeit.
In a stunning revelation, it was reported that a massive 708 fake tickets and 1,452 phony tags were uncovered during the check-in process.
The organizers quickly took to social media to address the chaos, saying, “We’ve always warned against buying from unauthorized sellers. It’s truly disheartening to see so many of you let down by fake tickets. We had to turn away hundreds of people because of 708 fake tickets and 1,452 counterfeit tags. We hope this clarifies why we stressed the importance of buying from official sources.”
