Three men from Fort Rixon in Matabeleland South Province faced charges of @ssault. Nqobani Moyo, Khulekani Masukume, and Michael Nyoni were @ccused of att@cking a fellow villager using a baton and their fists, causing !njuries all over the v!ctim’s body.
The trio appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Challenge Mahambe, where they all pleaded guilty to the @ssault charges.
The court heard that on 8 April 2024, at around 6am, the trio ganged up and went to Anele Msipha’s house where they found him sleeping.
Moyo then forced entry into the b3droom by k!cking down the door. He confronted Msipha, @ccusing him of being a bully, and proceeded to strik3 him repeatedly in the face with his fists.
Msipha attempted to defend himself, but his efforts were unsuccessful. Masukume and Nyoni joined the @ssault, delivering multiple punches to the v!ctim.
As if the thr@shing was not enough, Moyo took out a baton and used it to b3at the v!ctim on the butt0cks, legs and back.
The trio fled the scene and the matter was reported to the police leading to their @rrest.
