A tr@gic road accident claimed the lives of three men when their vehicle was directed off the edge of an unfinished bridge, plunging 30 feet down.
Kaushal Kumai, Vivek Kumar, and Amit Kumar were returning home to Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, from a wedding in Gurugram, located southwest of New Delhi.
Local reports state that the men’s bodies were discovered trapped inside their mangled car nearly 19 hours later, at 9:30 AM the following day.
Investigations revealed that the trio had been relying on an outdated version of Google Maps, which mistakenly directed them onto the bridge that was no longer safe for travel.

The bridge had been closed since suffering a collapse in 2022 due to severe flooding, yet there were reportedly no signs to indicate its inoperability.
Unaware of the danger, the men drove down the bridge at speed, leading to their tragic fall.
All three individuals worked as security guards. Following the accident, their remains were transported by boat to the nearby city of Faridpur for formal post-mortem examinations.
In the wake of this heartbreaking incident, authorities have initiated an investigation, summoning four engineers, along with an unidentified Google Maps engineer, for questioning as they seek to understand the circumstances surrounding this devastating event.
