In a dramatic twist, Maskiri, a tout from Zengeza, faces accusations of pocketing money meant for the funeral of a Chitungwiza child who was murd3red by his mothers’ ex-lover.
After gathering donations from fellow touts, Maskiri bought bread and vegetables and gave only $6 to the grieving family.
His actions have sparked outrage, with critics claiming he kept a portion of the funds for himself.
Maskiri counters that he used some of the money for groceries and shared the rest with two other touts who assisted him.

He argues that his intention was to support the funeral, especially since the accused murd3r3r, Simbarashe, was connected to their group.
In the meantime, the burial of the deceased, Truth Maphosa, has been delayed as his father, Mike Maphosa, demands answers from his ex-wife, Nomsa Sengwe, over the tragic d3ath.
Mike, a gold panner, blames Nomsa and her former lover, Simbarashe Ashton Machipisa, for the k!lling. His decision to halt the burial has led to mourners having to change their clothes.
Maskiri defends his actions, saying he provided much-needed food for the funeral and supported Nomsa, who was facing personal turmoil.
